Morgan Hill, a little bit Country

Our family moved from Cupertino to Morgan Hill in 1997 to purchase our very first home and is a wonderful place to raise a family or to work remotely with a lot of elbow room. It's a blend of small town country, although it's really grown with larger commercial buildings and is no longer known as a "bedroom community" - meaning you're only there to sleep and then commute to work. An hour drive north to San Francisco and 30 min south to the Monterey Peninsula, Carmel or west to Santa Cruz and Capitola with wineries sprinkled around.


There are 3 roads to San Jose - Santa Teresa, Monterey Highway, and 101. There's much more frequent public transportation - Caltrain, buses and bus to south San Jose (Santa Teresa) light rail station to travel up the peninsula. Utilize the free wi-fi on board to jump ahead with your work.


Morgan Hill is known for it's recreation. Hiking, biking, running, horse back riding, dog walking, boating and fishing. It's 20 miles south of San Jose, but a huge difference of a slower paced life outside of the Silicon Valley | Bay Area hustle. The city is managed very well, sculptures sprinkled throughout and has with low crime. There's a newer 3 story parking garage downtown Morgan Hill and restaurants all within walking distance. City and the library are a few blocks west of downtown.


For hiking enthusiasts, Henry Coe Park, Harvey Bear Park (at the bordering town of San Martin) and El Toro - the iconic mountain Morgan Hill is known for. Specialized Bikes' headquartered here. Rocca's Market has been a staple of San Martin and the private golf course with Spa and Restaurants at Cordevalle for a resort weekend.

Our Leadership of Morgan Hill Class of 2016 had a team building exercise at Henry Coe State Park. This park has rolling hills and is quite expansive.

I had assisted with the soft and official launch of Borello Ranch Estates by Toll Brothers. It's a great place for first time buyers starting with a condo, townhouse or single family home. It's also great for families needing more room and seniors.

Harvey Bear has a 2 mile flat loop that many walk, jog, roller blade or take their children in strollers. There's also parking for horse trailers and many meet to start their rides at the base of the park.
