Hello Dubai! Real Estate Ready!

A lot of "firsts" this week.

My first flight on Emirates....wow! Beautiful aircraft (burlwood in bathrooms) and the flight attendants' uniforms were gorgeous. They changed during food service and offered exceptional service in regular coach. The captain was from Mexico and said that the 18 member crew were from different cities around the world and spoke different languages. I spoke to a flight attendant from France and he said Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world. The food and space was very good and ample for the 15 hour flight. Caught 2 movies and a little sleep.

Yesterday our group started with visiting Senses, an orphanage for special needs, adoreable kids. It's quite an operation and they are well loved. They are in need of an upgraded air conditioning system.

We had lunch at Arabic Tea House Restaurant and Cafe. I ordered an iced latte and had lamb kabobs which was delicious.

This week is AI week and we'll be meeting with fellow techies. Citymax Hotel at Business Bay is very nice, 3 areas to eat - cafe, Chinese and a bar/restaurant. It has a pool and gym which I haven't visited yet. Room includes wifi and buffet breakfast.

Traffic was a bit of a mess in the heart of downtown without much order around 6:30p last night. Later in the evening a lot of traffic since people wait for cooler weather to venture out. There was a hair salon still open around 10pm!!!! (I know, heaven on earth!)

I most definitely recommend visiting Dubai and flying Emirates.
